Learn how to create Drypoints
Time & Location
About the Event
In this small group workshop you will learn how to create dry point plates and develop an understanding of the intaglio print process. Dry point is a simple and direct method of creating an intaglio image, that is where an image is scratched, into a plate, ink is applied to the plate and a print created by placing dampened paper onto the plate and passing both through a press. The burr created when scratching the plate holds the ink to create a rich velvety quality.
Price includes:
Three hour face to face workshop
All inks and tools
Quality printmaking paper
Dry point plate
You will need to bring Ideas for an image – drawing or photograph.
