Design and print your own fabric - 21 November - Caves Beach
Time & Location
About the Event
Create your own printed textile items to give as gifts or keep for your own use. Learn how to block print and stencil fabric and create two fabulous tea towels or bags. Fabric printing can be used for a range of items suchs as napkins, aprons, runners, used for applique, furoshiki wrapping cloths, quilting projects or hanging art pieces.
During the workshop you can use a range of pre-cut stencils and lino blocks to create your own personalised tea towels and bag. If you have stencils or lino blocks you’ve created before you can use these or you can cut your own stencil to print and/or combine with the ones available.
Slow down and enjoy creating items yourself that are printed by hand - sure to be treasured far more than mass-produced ones and you’ll have the pleasure of knowing that you created them yourself.
Course notes and all materials and tools including two tea towels or bags to personalise as you wish, assorted fabric ‘pieces’ to practice on, paints and tools, pre-cut stencils and linos.
More items can be purchased for personalisation if required on the day or bring along your own fabrics to work on.
Wear old clothes and covered shoes.
