About the Event
Join Amanda for a fun & inspiring Tuesday workshop to create your own original and beautiful textiles!
In this workshop you will learn how repeat patterns are made and print your own textiles. Learn how to design, cut and print your own lino block and make beautiful artworks. Then use your block to print fabric items, either in a repeated pattern, a random design or by combining with other precut lino blocks that willl be available.
Everything is provided on the day, and you will take home your lino block, printed textiles and paper prints.
You may also purchase a take home kit if you wish to have a set of tools, lino and ink to keep printing with!
This workshop is 5 hours and includes a light lunch.
Class fee is $120 per person.
Price includes:
5 hour face to face workshop
All inks and tools
Printmaking paper
Lino square (10cm)
Tea towel or tote bag to print (more items can be purchased on the day for $5 each or bring your own fabric items to print up)
Light lunch
About your tutor:
Amanda Donohue studied printmaking at Sydney College of the Arts graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours). She has been a printmaker for over twenty years and a member of the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop for seven years. See more about Amanda at www.amandadonohue.org.
