About the Event
An online workshop in which you will create your own lino prints for the wall, to create greetings cards or to give as gifts.
You will receive online interactive demo sessions plus full written and video instructions you can watch as often as you want. Plus there is the option to purchase a lino printing kit with cutting tools, lino blocks (two 10cm square pieces), roller, a selection of printing papers, water based printing ink and a non slip mat for cutting.
During the course you will cut your own lino and learn about about reversing of images and positive/negative space, cutting techniques, and how to ink up your block. You will then will print images, on a variety of papers to create a print that is absolutely yours ready to frame and gift or hang at home.

It’ll be fun and at the end you’ll have a unique print to keep or give away. You’ll also have your own unique lino blocks that you can re-use to print your own cards or other items. And tools to use if you want to keep on printing!
Price includes:
- Course notes with instructions, supplier details and further inspiration
- Downloadable video instructions that you can re-watch when you need
- Two one hour online interactive Zoom sessions where I'll demonstrate and you can ask questions.
- The first session will be Monday 25 May 10-11am and the second session will be Friday 29 May 2-3pm.
- Lino printing kit (if ordered)
NB Details to access the video intructions and interactive sessions will be emailed to you after payment. If you order a printmaking kit this will be posted to you - postage is included if you live in Australia. Please allow one week for delivery of the kit if you order it. If you order and want to collect your kit from Lake Macquarie please email me and I'll put something extra in your pack to compensate the postage.
About your tutor:
Amanda Donohue studied printmaking at Sydney College of the Arts graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours). She has been a printmaker for over twenty years and a member of the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop for seven years. See more about Amanda at www.amandadonohue.org.
