Have you ever wanted to learn the ancient craft of Wet felting wool? This wonderful and versatile craft can be used to create both beautiful and functional objects.

In this full day workshop, you'll learn new skills and take away your own unique felt bowl.

To begin the session you'll create a piece of felt that can be used to make a wall hanging, cushion cover, journal cover, coasters, needle-case, small bag or other similar items. This step will teach the principles of wet felting ie how to lay out the wool tops, decorate your piece, then felt and full it.

Then after a lunch break you'll progress and make a small bowl using a resist felting technique. 

By the end of the class everyone will have created a piece of felt about 20cm square and a small bowl. This workshop is a great opportunity to enjoy handmade processes and have fun learning how to continue these traditional crafts.

Price $135 per person, includes:

5.5 hour (includin 30 minute lunch break) face to face class at Hudson Street Hum, all materials and tools, tea and coffee.

About your tutor:

Amanda Donohue studied printmaking at Sydney College of the Arts graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours). She also has a Graduate Certificate in Cross Disciplinary Art & Design from the College of Fine Arts (UNSW) where she studied textiles.
