About the Event

Textile Tasters is a great way to find out about new techniques. These are small workshops designed to stimulate your senses over four separate 2.5 hours sessions: wet felting, fabric printing, shibori and stitching.

Cost is $60.00 per session with all materials included. 

You will learn about a new technique each week and, depending on the session, how your textiles can be used for making bags, eye glass cases, bowls, coasters, hangings.

These 2.5 hour workshops are a great opportunity to enjoy handmade processes and have fun learning how to continue these traditional crafts. 

No experience needed.

Price is $240 per person and includes:

Four x 2.5 hour face to face workshops

All materials and use of necessary tools and equipment each week

About your tutors:

Amanda Donohue studied printmaking at Sydney College of the Arts graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours). She also has a Graduate Certificate in Cross Disciplinary Art & Design from the College of Fine Arts (UNSW). Amanda has been a printmaker for over twenty years and a member of the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop for eight years.  See more about Amanda at www.amandadonohue.org.
