About the Event

Textile Tasters is a great way to find out about new techniques. These are small group workshops designed to stimulate your senses over six separate 2 hour sessions where you will try wet felting, fabric printing, shibori and stitching.

Cost is $45.00 per session if you book for the course, with all materials included.  If you want to book into a few individual sessions the cost will be $65 per class. Please email me if you would like to do this.

You will learn about a new technique each week and, depending on the session, how your textiles can be used for making bags, eye glass cases, bowls, coasters, hangings. We'll start with a wet felting session first and then in the following weeks develop this technique, undertake different shibori methods, print up some bags or tea towels and do some shashiko stitching.

These 2 hour workshops are a great opportunity to enjoy handmade processes in a relaxed environment and have fun learning how to continue these traditional crafts.

No experience is needed, beginners are welcome.

Price is $270 per person and includes:

Six 2 hour face to face workshops

All materials and use of necessary tools and equipment each week
